A tough day at the office in Täby

A later kick off than normal saw the team feeling energised with last weekends unscheduled break, however it was a tough day at the office for the Plebs away from home facing Erikslund in Täby.
A strong start from both teams in the early stages of the game saw hard-fought battles and good passages of play, but it was Erikslund that got the better of Uppsala 10 minutes into the game scoring the first points of the day in the corner. The home team went on to score 3 more unanswered tries and in the later stages of the 1st half saw Plebs down to 14 men with a yellow card being shown.
The 2nd half and the Plebs back up to a full 15 on the pitch saw some creative plays form the backline with an attempting cross field kick by our returning captain Stewart Devine to the speedster Siôn Kinson, but it was not meant to be. Hard running lines and powerful drives from the forwards set up the platform for the backs to put Emil Marklund under the sticks for the first try of the second half with Emil then converting his own try. It was however the home side that finished strong scoring 3 more tries and ending the game 41-7.
The game did not go Plebs way, but there were plenty of positives to take away into the next game against Stockholm Barbarians next weekend at home.
A well-deserved man of the match performance went to Joel Fleck for his fiery scrumhalf performance and bringing the intensity to the game. The currently injured Hampus Wåhlander will be sent for some hydration management training for his poor performance as water boy. A massive shoutout to Aniruddha who put a massive shift in the game and unfortunately it being his last for the club. He has been a fantastic representative of the club and we all wish him the best in the future.
